New Park - (12/13/07) Daewoo reports that it has now signed a formal contract with Paramount Pictures to build a Paramount theme park in South Korea at cost of 1.5 trillion won ($1.6 billion). The park is expected to open by 2010 and just west of Seoul in Incheon, with construction to start by July 2008.
(5/10/07) According to this news article, Paramount Pictures Corp. and Daewoo Motor Sales Corp. will jointly invest over $1 billion into building a theme park resort on a 50-hectare plot Daewoo owns in Inchon. When it opened in 2009 it will feature a theme park, a studio facility, a 300 room hotel, a water park, media center and shopping mall. Construction is planned to start later this year.
(1/16/07) Daewoo Motor Sales Corp has announced that they are in talks with Paramount Pictures about building a Paramount theme park on a reclaimed land site west of Seoul in New Songdo City.
