Attraction News - (8/12/14) The Legoland Discovery Center in Dallas (at Grapevine Mills) will soon unveil a new water playground area called Pirate Beach. “Structured after a shipwrecked pirate vessel, Pirate Beach’s central feature is a playground where kids can navigate through water jets and fountains, squirt cannons and ride on water slides. The playground features 30 interactive gadgets pumping and spraying thousands of gallons of water.”
Pirate Beach is located outside near the LEGO City: Forest Ranger Pursuit ride and will have a grand opening on Saturday, August 23rd. Click here to see the concept art and read up on all the details for the big opening at the official website.
(10/18/13) A groundbreaking ceremony was held earlier this week in Boston for the new Legoland Discovery Center site in Somerville. Look for it to open in May 2014 as part of the new Assembly Row shops.
A LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a small indoor LEGO themed parks experience that typically feature a flat ride or two, a fun interactive dark ride, a 4D Theater as well as several interactive areas where kids can play hands on with LEGOs for hours on end.
