Park News - (3/10/08) You can find an opening day report at ThemeParkFusion. (3/6/08) A quick update on the Q-Buster phone based virtual queue system. Apparently the park was quietly testing this system out for free for most of the 2007 season but never advertised the fact that they had it until now. (3/5/08) Flamingoland will add a virtual queue system to the park this season called Q-Buster that guests will use through text messages from their cell phones. According to this article the extra fee service (£5) will be put to use on seven attractions: Kumali, Velocity, Lost River, Splash Battle, Cliffhanger, Wild Mouse and 4 D Cinema.
2008 - 4D Theater / Flip Flop - (3/18/08) Flip Flop construction pictures can be found at ThemeParkFusion. (3/10/08) Screamscape has been informed that Flamingoland will open a new Fabbri Top Swing this season called Flip Flop. (3/6/08) New this year will be a 4D Theater showing Haunted Lighthouse, a film produced by the Busch theme parks in 2003 and shown at the various 4D Theaters at their SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks for about three years. (2/5/07) Word on the Net is that Flamingoland has purchased the Mini Mine Rush coaster and 4D Theater technology from American Adventure. Theme Park Fusion has posted a picture of the coaster’s station track onsite at the park.
Future Developments - The following were reported future expansion plans the park was considering back in 2005 for the 2008-2010 timeline. No word on if these projects have been canceled entirely or if they are still in development. GCI Wooden Coaster - Rumor - (10/21/05) While the ECC visited Flamingoland over the weekend, they were apparently informed about plans to add a GCI wooden coaster around 2008. Dark Ride - Rumor - (10/21/05) While attending the ECC trip to Flamingoland over the weekend, it was revealed that the park was planning on adding a major dark ride and that the owners are serious about really turning the park into a major attraction.
